Hotel Il Nido is located in a tranquil position, along a street that, from Sorrento, transports you to Sant’Agata sui due Golfi. Moreover, the hilly position ensures a magnificent panorama of the Gulf of Naples and offers the best in Mediterranean vegetation: lush citrus trees, olive trees and enchanting flowers that surround the hotel during all seasons.
Once you have arrived in Sorrento, the Hotel is reached in only 10 to 15 minutes through our hourly shuttle service that connects the hotel to the centre. In the alternative, Il Nido is easily reachable by your own means as wells as being connected to Sorrento by bus which runs every hour to Sant’Agata.
The splendid position in which the hotel is found, easily facilitates the numerous excursion to the most famous sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii, Naples, Capri, Amalfi, Vesuvius and the islands of Ischia and Procida but also offers the choice of other activities in the immediate vicinity.
Sorrento is distanced only 5km from our Hotel and offers an evocative historical centre, composed of a myriad of small streets that intersect with each other. With their colour, they conquer the hearts of thousands of visitors to Sorrento every year. Right in the heart of Sorrento, you can taste the traditional Neapolitan pizza, the original Sorrento Limoncello and hand made ice-cream and discover local products like inlaid wood, sandals and much more. The principal street of the historical centre is Via San Cesareo, in which it is possible to admire the famous Sedil Dominova, the ancient seat of the noble city rich in frescoed walls dating from the fifteenth century.
An unknown pearl of Sorrentine culture, Il Correale di Terranova museum boats a collections of paintings, works of art and porcelain of great value. Divided into three levels, the Museum offers on the first floor, an interesting collection of furniture dating between the XVI and XVIII century. On the second floor, you will find a valuable collection of still life paintings of the Neapolitan school (XVII century). On the third level there is an extraordinary collection of European porcelain of the XVIII century and Italian majolica of the same era.
The museum is opened every day except Tuesday from 9:00 to 14:00.

Il Nido is located a small distance from numerous naturalistic walks. The diversity of the surrounding area offers a choice between trails of varying intensity and length, re-discovering enchanting places, rich with history or panorama, immersed in the nature the Mediterranean.
Punta Campanella – Monte San Costanzo: A trail of medium difficulty, it offers the sea, mountains and nature all within a walk that lasts 4 hours.
Baia di Ieranto: A trail of two hours in length along rocks and vegetation of the Mediterranean, which leads you to the clear sea of the Naturale Marina di Punta Campanella reserve.
Torca – Malacoccola: A trail of medium difficulty between the hills and mountains until you arrive at 350 metres above sea level, among groves, chestnut trees and Mediterranean shrubs with a spectacular view of the Amalfi Coast.
